Stylin'
Justin finally convinced Alexander to get a haircut by telling him we would let him get a haircut that he could make into a Mohawk. He agreed and I took him to a "haircut place" where they gave him a nice, respectable, neat haircut. Then the stylist gave him a Faux Hawk. To my relief, he hasn't asked for one since.

Kai's Big Boy Haircut
This week we decided that Kai was ready for a Big Boy Haircut. His curls refused to come back after the last trim he had, and his hair was usually a static-fest. So I got to work and transformed my baby into a big boy. I think it looks really cute! He is extremely grown up now and loves to color, especially with a big brother to share markers with.

Kai's First Haircut
All my boys were getting super shaggy, so it was haircut day in our household! This was Kai's first real haircut! Of course I did Kai's hair with just scissors, which led the other boys to resist the buzzer, so they were all done with just scissors for a change.

I plead temporary insanity
I am pretty sure I am in trouble when Justin gets home from work and sees what I did to our second son. I may have my clipper privileges revoked. I was giving Alexander a nice summer haircut, and Jack was begging (ya know, with body language, grunts, pointing, etc.) for me to do his, too. So I DID! AHHHH!

My beardless man
Here's a before picture of Justin sporting his beard (and non-cooperative children), and then a shot of him last night beardless and immediately following a haircut by me! I'm sure this is mostly amusing only to those who know him well, but it is highly amusing to me, so you're all being subjected to reading about it! ;)

Should I keep my day job?
For my birthday I asked for a Wahl clipper set so that I could learn to cut the boys' hair and save some money. I tried it out for the first time this weekend, with Alexander as my first subject. I forgot to take a specific "before" picture, but I'll use one I took just yesterday of him with his bushy hair. He was starting to get a lot of comments like, "Did you just wake up?" and "Wow, that's some crazy hair!" so I suppose it was past time for a cut. It's not perfect, but I didn't end up having to shave him bald or take him somewhere for a rescue cut, so I'll consider it a success!
